Special Education
In collaboration with families, communities, and team members, the Special Education team applies a holistic approach to the social-emotional and educational growth of all students. Through specialized instruction, trauma-informed and evidence-based interventions, we drive equitable and inclusive practices that empower students as they climb to, through and beyond.
Students with disabilities may be eligible to receive special education services. If eligible, all services and programs are implemented as prescribed in each student’s Individualized Education Plans (IEP). All services, placement and eligibility decisions are made by the IEP team based on assessments and the individual needs of each student. We take pride in ensuring that all students with disabilities are educated in the least restrictive environment. With that in mind, we offer a full range of support and services aimed at ensuring that every child derives meaningful educational benefit in the general education setting to the largest extent possible.
