At New Millennium Secondary School (NMSS), a tuition-free high school located in Gardena, California, we LOVE helping our 9th-12th grade students figure out their future. Yes, it can seem overwhelming with all of the choices out there but we help you plan and prepare because your future is BRIGHT.
Planning Makes Perfect
At NMSS it all starts with our College and Career Center page. This online tool helps you plan your future whether you are a freshman, senior or in-between. We have everything from high school graduation requirements, to tests you need to take, financial aid, and helpful links. But this is just the start. Our small and engaged high school is here to help you, one on one. You have an advisor and our guidance counselor Mr. Kirtz here to answer questions. Your teachers can give you advice and if you have absolutely no idea where to begin, just come by the main office- we want to see you!
Our free public school hosts orientations before school starts to focus up on the coming school year whether you’re new or returning. We offer community service because not only does it reflect on your commitment to your community but it can help you find your passion, so a little of a win-win situation? We help you with post high school applications, financial aid and learning tools that will help you in any career, like time management.
Academically, we offer personalized education with academic support from specialists. We make sure you are tracking California’s A-G requirements and getting college credit right here, for free. You can take classes online or we offer classes on campus. Maybe you’ll decide college isn’t the right fit for you but at least you will graduate with college credit and an introduction of how college works. If you decide to pursue a college degree, we’ll even make sure you’re hooked up with a college advisor before graduation. Yep, we’re really serious about helping you succeed, you’ve got this!
